Hand-Crafted, Small Batch Soy Candles
Each River City Craft Co. scent arises from a unique blend of essential and aroma oils. Because we know how important it is to keep your home safe and healthy, all oils used in River City Craft Co. candles are 100% phthalate-free and adhere to the strictest standards of the Research Institute for Fragrance Materials.
Our 100% American-made candles are available in 2 oz and 8 oz tins, as well as 9 oz and 16 oz glass jars. You can also build a 4-pack of 2 oz candles to create a beautiful, customized gift box.

CREATOR
Stephanie's Story
Stephanie Blanchard, founder of River City Craft Co. and a retired Veteran of the U.S. Army (hooah!), has always harbored a passion for making hand-made gifts. Believing that there is something inherently different about a hand-made present versus a store-bought one, Stephanie created her first candle as a holiday gift for family and friends in 2018. She wanted to give her loved ones a glimpse of Elizabeth City during the holidays — an enchanting atmosphere marked by notes of gardenia, tobacco, and pine.
The candles were an instant hit and inspired a blossoming business shortly thereafter. Stephanie continued to develop her candles and products, forging partnerships with several local businesses - who couldn’t keep enough of them on the shelves!
Today, Stephanie continues to work with local suppliers to get her candles into the hands of friends, followers, and visitors to Elizabeth City. Stephanie also plans to attend local craft shows in 2024 with her wares, so stay tuned!
